This book provides a comprehensive overview of the microscopes manufactured by Nippon Kogaku K.K., later Nikon Corporation, from the mid 1920s to the mid 1970s, and the correspondent various array of accessories. Most microscopes from this period have no model designation. The aim of this book is to identify all microscope models from this period and show them in great detail. Another great source of inspiration from that Nikon specialist ... ULI !!! I was already fan of Nikon Microscopes , now ... i want them all. Keep the good job !
Thanks very much for the book. It’s a masterpiece! Nikon made a superb job of designing those beautiful instruments and you have done a similar excellent job of recording them. Well done!
Another stunning publication by Uli Koch! His latest book, "Nikon Microscopes - The First 50 Years" encompasses Uli's superb knowledge on this subject, and is written in his usual entertaining manner. His pictures are of the highest quality!
Uli has, once again, prepared a magnificent treatise on Nippon Kogaku, and the company’s evolution of its optical prowess. In Microscopes, The First 50 Years, he delivers the same intellectual depth and production value in this 388 page book as he has with his previous publications. His superb photographs illustrate in detail the evolution of Nikon’s contribution to unveiling what the eye cannot see.
Uli-san’s book sheds light into those “black” Nikon microscopes of that era. Who thought it would be so difficult just to classify them! I am sure the book will become the basis for Nikon microscope enthusiasts abroad.. It’s a win-win for all enthusiasts, not only collectors.
Wow what a superb book! I never thought I would see so much detailed information about the Nikon microscopes. I am sure that I speak for other NHS members when I heartily thank you for undertaking the research and sharing the results with us.
This book is more familiar with Nikon than any of the current Nikon employees. In particular, the 16-page description of Multiphot was a masterpiece.
